About the Bride

I don't know what it is, but Amy makes me laugh like a giddy school girl every time I look at her. Whether it's her off the wall crazy demeanor, her tendency to throw out obscure Jewy references as if I were studying to be a rabbi (and I should know what she's talking about), or simply because she's the cutest little thing I've ever seen - I just don't know. But I do know that she makes me insanely happy.

Every second spent with her is an absolute joy, as she's one of the spunkiest, most fun-loving, positive people I've ever known. Her love of family (both hers and mine), honoring of tradition, and ability to warm up to just about anyone is something that resonates very well with me. She's smart, funny (for a teacher), and remarkably talented.

Professionally speaking, there's no way I'd be where I am today if it wasn't for Amy's creative input, love, and support of what I do. There's no doubt in my mind that spending the rest of my life with her will be the best decision I'll ever make, aside from seeing three Boyz II Men concerts in one year. That was a pretty great decision. Amy, I love you.

About the Groom

Max is an incredibly hard worker who is passionate about creating images that capture his subjects at their core.  Whether Max is shooting iconic Carroll Gardens business owners, festival musicians, or his wedding clients, he is able to place himself on the same level as his subjects in order to capture what makes them unique.

I am someone who has been in the cross hairs of Max's lens more times than I can account for and I'm in awe of the way that he makes his subjects feel at ease - this is of course because he is so comfortable with himself.  The ease which he is able to transition from utilizing the tools of his trade, to trekking mountains or creating drool-worthy culinary creations is something that I envy and respect.

Max has the ability to unconditionally love those that he is close with.  Having more intimate friendships than anyone else I know, he maintains those relationships with unyielding loyalty.  These qualities are just a sliver of the things that I love about the man I look forward to spending my life with.  I am incredibly lucky and loved.

How We Met...

The first time I met Max, he was appropriately taking my picture.  My aunt and uncle hired him to photograph their son's Bar Mitzvah.  He was focused, attentive, and couldn't stop grooving to the music as he shot the party. I broke the ice with something along the lines of "What are you shooting with?"  We exchanged email addresses and I thought I'd never hear from him again.  When my aunt and uncle saw the photographs a few weeks later, they noticed a number of images where I played a predominant role. I got an email from Max later that week...
